The Children’s Partnership facilitates and co-ordinates training to meet the training needs of registered childcare settings within Carmarthenshire.

The Partnership provide subsidised training to support childcare workers in meeting the standards set out by CSSIW, i.e. in undertaking compulsory courses such as First Aid and Basic Food Hygiene training. The training also supports the personal development of childcare workers.

To ensure that courses are relevant and meet the need of childcare workers Training Needs Analysis, Evaluation Forms are carried out together with regular contact with Childcare workers. We welcome feedback from settings, if they feel that their childcare needs are not being made, so that we can tailor courses to meet their specific needs.

The Children’s Partnership is committed to working in partnership with organisations involved in training and childcare in the county i.e. Mudiad Ysgolion Meithrin, Wales Pre-School Playgroups Association, National Childminding Association, Local Education Authority, Clybiau Plant Cyrmu/Kids’ Club, Carmarthen & Trinity College, etc.

The Partnership believe that through offering quality childcare and education, through promoting qualified well trained staff, will benefit children and families in the communities.
