Carmarthenshire Family Information Service
This service was originally set up in 2003 as one of the 22 Children’s Information Service’s across Wales, to provide information, advice and guidance on childcare to parents and prospective parents in their County.
In 2008 the service was renamed nationally as the Family Information Service or FIS. New duties have been given to local authorities across Wales by the Welsh Assembly Government to broaden the range of information and support they provide.
The Carmarthenshire Family Information Service provides bilingual, impartial advice and guidance on a wide range of childcare and family support related issues.
